Personal Assistant - Yarmouth

Looking for a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 27-year-old gentleman living in Yarmouth.

About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support an individual with autism who is currently recovering from a serious leg injury. Following surgery, mobility is currently limited, and further surgery is expected later this year (around September).

The role focuses on enabling access to the community, promoting independence, and supporting wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting access to the local community
Assisting with attending health appointments
Encouraging participation in activities of interest (e.g. swimming, countryside outings)
Providing practical support in line with reduced mobility (currently using crutches; wheelchair access may be introduced)

About the Individual
A 27-year-old autistic man
Enjoys being outdoors, particularly in the countryside
Interested in exploring options such as swimming
Requires sensitive, patient, and understanding support

What We’re Looking For
A kind, dependable individual with a positive attitude
Experience with autism (preferred but not essential)
A driver with access to a vehicle (essential)
Someone flexible and supportive, able to adapt to changing mobility needs
Willingness to work alongside his mother to ensure a good match
