URGENT (349189 SM) – Sandown

A lady in her 60s, living in Sandown, has recently been diagnosed with aggressive cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment. She is seeking a female Personal Assistant to provide additional support and reassurance at home.

Support Required

Prompting and oversight of chemotherapy medication to ensure it is taken at the correct times
Wellbeing checks
Support with meal preparation and encouraging fluid intake
Emotional support and companionship
Assistance to attend appointments and access local activities/support groups

Hours Available
Additional 12 hours per week

Teatime and evening calls: Monday to Sunday
Morning calls: Saturday and Sunday

Funding:

12 hours per week: £197.64
2 hours per week floating support for ad hoc appointments at £16.47 per hour (£32.94)
3 hours per week to access appropriate activities/support groups (£49.41)

Essential Requirements

Female PA required
Full driving licence
Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
Experience with medication oversight/prompting
