Location: Sandown, Isle of Wight
Rate of Pay: £16.47 per hour (double-up care)
Hours: 4 care calls per day

Morning: 1 hour
Lunch: 1 hour
Tea: 45 minutes
Evening: 45 minutes

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for two compassionate, reliable, and patient Personal Assistants to support an 85-year-old lady living in her own home in Sandown.
The lady has vascular dementia and physical health needs and requires support to maintain her safety, wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life within her home and local community.

Main Duties
The successful applicants will provide support with:

Personal care, including washing, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Assistance with eating and drinking.
Preparing simple meals and drinks.
Supporting mobility and transfers using a hoist.
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns to family members.
Providing companionship and emotional reassurance.
Light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment, including:

Putting laundry on.
Hanging washing out.
Changing and remaking the bed.

About You
The ideal candidates will be:

Kind, caring, and respectful.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Patient and understanding of the needs of older people and those living with dementia.
Able to follow care plans and work as part of a wider support network.
A good communicator.
Flexible and able to promote independence wherever possible.
