Personal Assistant Required – Newport (Ref: SM 185681)

An opportunity is available for a caring and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support an 81-year-old gentleman living in Newport.
The gentleman lives with spinal stenosis, which causes chronic pain and reduced mobility. He has also had a hip replacement, has a history of falls, reduced physical strength, and experiences low mood and social isolation.
The role will focus on supporting him to access the local community, build social connections, and enjoy activities that are important to him. He enjoys talking about his Naval past, has an interest in model railways, and enjoys singing. Support may include accompanying him to local groups and activities, including exploring opportunities such as veterans’ groups.
Hours and Rate of Pay
• 10 hours per week
• £12.82 per hour
Essential Requirements
• Full driving licence required
• Reliable, friendly, and supportive approach
• Ability to assist with community access and social inclusion
