Personal Assistant Required in Chale for Young Man (Ref: SM8411)

We are looking for a friendly, patient and reliable Personal Assistant to support a young man twice a week after college, helping him access the community, enjoy his hobbies and continue building his independence. The ideal PA will have excellent communication skills, a kind and reassuring approach, and preferably some experience supporting people with a learning disability. A shared interest in some of his hobbies would be a real advantage.

About the Role
The young man enjoys a variety of activities, including:
• Playing pool
• Taking photographs of buses
• Travelling on trains
• Bike riding
• Football
• Tennis
• Crazy golf
• Bowling
• Visiting arcades

He can sometimes find social situations challenging and may need reassurance and support when discussing friendships and events that have taken place during his day at college.
The successful PA will accompany him on public transport and support him to participate in activities across the Island.

Hours Available
Term Time
• Tuesday: 3:00pm to 7:00pm
• Wednesday: 3:00pm to 7:00pm
School Holidays
• Up to 6 hours on Tuesday and 6 hours on Wednesday
• Exact times to be agreed
Location
• Meet from college during term time
• Meet in Newport during school holidays
• Activities will take place at various community locations
