Personal Assistant Required, Cowes, 7 Hours Per Week (SM 242452)

A reliable, compassionate and person-centred Personal Assistant is required to support a friendly and intelligent 55-year-old woman living in Cowes.

This lady has complex long-term health conditions which affect her stamina and ability to complete some daily living activities independently. She wishes to remain living safely within her own home and is looking for a Personal Assistant who can provide consistent support while promoting her independence, choice and control.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will provide support with:
• Personal care and maintaining personal hygiene. (prefer a female for personal care)
• Preparing meals and drinks.
• Encouraging nutrition and hydration.
• Light domestic duties, including washing up, laundry, changing bedding and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Supporting independence and wellbeing.
• Providing reassurance and a flexible approach to meet fluctuating health needs.
• Working in partnership with Lady and her family to achieve agreed outcomes.

Hours of Support
The role will provide 7 hours per week, consisting of:
• Morning support visits.
• Tea-time support visits.
• One extended one-hour support visit each week.

Working times can be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant.
