About the Role:
A Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support a gentleman living in Newport. This role offers approximately 4 hours per week, split into 2 hours twice weekly, with a flexible start date (as soon as possible).

About the Individual:
I am a 52-year-old man living in Newport. Following several strokes, I have reduced mobility and have experienced a number of falls. I use a walker and am currently unable to leave my home independently.

As a result, I have become socially isolated and would really like to rebuild my independence and confidence. Getting out into the community, attending activities, and reconnecting with others would make a significant difference to my wellbeing.
I am looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide 1:1 support. The role involves helping me safely access the community, including going for walks, attending appointments, visiting shops, or exploring local groups and activities. Encouragement, companionship, and support will be key in helping me regain confidence.

Support Required:
Approximately 4 hours per week (2 hours, twice weekly)
Support to safely access the community
Assistance attending appointments, shops, and local activities
Companionship and encouragement to reduce social isolation

About You:
The ideal Personal Assistant will be:
Kind, patient, and understanding
Reliable and punctual
A good communicator
Confident supporting someone with mobility difficulties

Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to promote independence are most important.
