Personal Assistant Required - 6 Hours Per Week

A friendly and personable individual is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide 6 hours of support per week, split across two visits.

The role will include:
Supporting with a weekly shopping trip, helping to purchase healthy foods that can be prepared at home rather than relying on takeaways or eating out.
Encouraging and motivating meal preparation to ensure purchased food is used and not wasted.
Providing companionship through activities such as walks, drives, and visits to local cafés.
Offering encouragement and motivation with daily living tasks, including maintaining and tidying the home environment in a supportive and collaborative way.
The individual is fairly independent but benefits from positive encouragement and support to carry out everyday tasks.

A diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia and Mental and Behavioural Disorder due to Cannabis Use is in place. Therefore, experience or understanding of supporting people with mental health needs would be desirable, although not essential.

Essential Requirements
Full driving licence.
Patient, supportive, and encouraging nature.
Ability to build a positive working relationship and work collaboratively rather than taking over tasks.

Additional Information
No pets in the home.
The individual is a smoker.
Very friendly, sociable, and easy to get along with.
Prefers a PA who will work alongside them to maintain their home, rather than someone who carries out cleaning tasks independently.
