PA Support for Gentleman in Sandown (53566) LKM

Gentleman is in his early 60’s and lives alone in a flat in Sandown, he is a smoker and alcohol dependant and is at risk of self-neglect without support. A care agency currently visits twice a day however we are looking to reduce this by recruiting one or two PA’s who will be expected to build a trusted relationship with Phil. As his social worker, I am looking for carers who have an understanding of trauma informed approaches, and experience of working with individuals with poor mental health.

Funding for a care call of 60mins daily late morning or early afternoon + 4 hours a week to be used flexibly for attending appointments, community access and for batch cooking is available, however Phil would appreciate that we build up to this slowly. Initially, a 30min care call every other day is required.

This role attracts a bespoke rate of £18 per hour which reflects the experience needed to provide care for the gentleman.
