PA required in Godshill from 20th June – 12 hours per week (Ref: SM 104576)

A gentleman in his 60s living in Godshill is seeking a Personal Assistant to provide support with daily living and accessing the community.

Support required includes:

Managing and maintaining nutrition
Supporting access to the community
Building and maintaining relationships
Assisting with personal care needs

His mobility has declined and he has experienced falls in the past, which has affected his confidence. He therefore requires support and monitoring with personal care, as well as encouragement to access the community and reduce social isolation. He particularly enjoys fishing and would like support to explore opportunities related to this interest.

The role includes:

1 hour every morning, 7 days per week, to prompt nutrition and provide support/monitoring during personal care
2 x 2.5 hour community support sessions per week, including shopping and social activities

Hours: 12 hours per week
Start date: From 20th June
Rate of pay: £16.47 per hour

Essential:

Mental health experience
Car driver
