PA Required – Freshwater (SM 400153)

A rewarding opportunity is available to support a friendly 30-year-old woman living in Freshwater with her mum.
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Total: 35 hours per week
(Some flexibility with timings may be possible)

About the Role:
We are looking for a strong, reliable, and good-humoured Personal Assistant to provide support both at home and out in the community.

Duties include:
Supporting with personal care, including bathing and hair washing (on non-swimming days)
Assisting with aqua-therapy sessions twice a week (Mondays and Fridays), including support in the pool and with personal care afterwards
Supporting with mobility, including lifting and transporting a walking frame and wheelchair
Assisting with supervised cooking
Supporting access to the community (cinema trips, shopping, and activities she enjoys such as anime and Disney films)

Health & Safety Requirements:

The individual has epilepsy (mainly controlled but includes absence seizures)
She carries an EpiPen for severe allergies (wasp and bee stings), and the PA must be willing and able to administer this if required

Additional Information:
Motability car available for use (PA can be added to insurance if aged 30+)
Alternatively, own transport may be used
No pets
Non-smoking household
Must be able to reliably travel to Freshwater

Pay Rates:

7 hours per week at £14.57 per hour
28 hours per week at £12.82 per hour
