PA Required for gentleman in Shanklin – 369441 CD
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support a gentleman in Shanklin, with developing and maintaining independent living skills following a recent bereavement.
About the Role:
You will provide practical, hands-on support to help with:
Learning to use household appliances (e.g., washing machine, cooker, dishwasher)
Basic cooking and meal preparation
Light domestic tasks such as changing bedding and cleaning
Support with understanding and managing finances
Occasional assistance with appointments and accessing the community
About the Individual:
Gentleman is a 57-year-old man with a passion for Formula One, films, and collecting model cars and aeroplanes. He is friendly, independent in many areas, and keen to learn new skills to maintain his independence. He has diabetes and epilepsy, which are well-managed, and receives daily insulin support from a district nurse.
Ideal Candidate:
Patient and encouraging, with a practical approach to teaching life skills
Able to work flexibly around his routine and preferences
Car Driver essential
