PA required for a lady in Bembridge, 90 minutes every morning to assist with getting up, dressing, breakfast and preparing a light lunch, £20 per hour

A reliable and friendly female Personal Assistant is required to support an elderly lady living independently in her own home in Bembridge.

Hours:

- 90 minutes each morning, 7 days per week (10.5 hours per week)
- Around 7.00am to 8.30am, with some flexibility for the right person
- We would also be glad to hear from two people interested in sharing the week between them

Duties will include:

- Assisting her to get up and to dress
- Preparing breakfast and clearing away afterwards
- Making a sandwich for her lunch and leaving it in the fridge for later in the day
- Light tidying in the kitchen, and other small household tasks as she prefers
- Companionship and a friendly start to the day

About the role:

She has a respiratory condition and becomes breathless on exertion, so standing, reaching and carrying are what tire her most. She needs a steadying hand and some assistance dressing rather than full personal care. She is mentally very sharp, runs her own household and values her independence, so the right person will assist rather than take over. She already has a cleaner who comes in regularly, so this role is specifically the morning routine.

Essential:

- Punctual and dependable, as arriving at the same time each morning matters to her
- Some experience of assisting with dressing
- Patient and cheerful
- Living in or near Bembridge would suit best, given the short daily shift
