Long term help for Fun family

’m looking for a special person to help me as our lovely personal assistant is off to finish her teacher training…. :0) sob!

I’m a disabled mum (no personal care at all) with 2 home educated kids. I need help with a very wide range of things. I need someone who’s not overly formal and friendly.

I essentially get very tired and struggle to bend down, with repetitive movements (like cleaning)and general weakness (tidying, standing in ques,cooking etc). I need someone who enjoys being around kids and is happy to chat/play… in practise, day to day this looks a bit like being a family friend who does things for us.

The job definitely involves routine tidying, cleaning, shopping, post office runs, picking up dog poo, cleaning chickens, mowing lawn, gardening etc…. All things you’d do in your own home. But also more fun things like weekly swimming , beach, days out.

You absolutely must like animals, the beach and be a generally friendly, fun person who’s got a modern understanding of disability.

If you use words like normal, wheelchair bound etc… have a problem with dog poo, chicken poo or generally don’t have a ‘can do’ positive attitude/an ability to take direction but also act independently with some common sense and initative this isn’t the job for you.

You will need to be self employed and able to send invoices.

-Pay is £18 per hour.
-You’ll need a clean police check (we can sort out doing one) and 2 references.
-No smokers or vapers please (sorry!). -Confident driver with own vehicle essential.

Currently the hours are Monday morning Thursday morning for swimming and Friday morning which works well. I can be a bit flexible for the right person on hours but being able too work In school holidays is essential.

Generally our PA’s end up being family friends and enjoy their time with us. But the job can be quite physical (no manual lifting just housework, gardening, carrying things?at times and does need someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in but also a good sense of humour !
