Personal Assistant (PA) Vacancy – Sunday Morning Support
Location: Sandown, Isle of Wight
Hours: Every Sunday, 8:00am – 8:45am
Start Date: Immediate start required
A 76-year-old lady living in her own home in Sandown is looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to join her care team and provide support with her Sunday morning routine.
You will work alongside a second PA/carer to provide safe and dignified care, helping her maintain comfort and independence within her home.
About the Role
The employer has experienced significant health challenges, including six strokes, which have affected her mobility and independence. She also has a history of recurrent urinary tract infections and underwent a hip replacement in 2021.
She is currently unable to weight bear or mobilise independently and requires the support of two carers for moving and handling tasks and all aspects of personal care. At present, she prefers to receive her care in bed and requires full assistance with her morning routine.
Duties Include

Personal care and washing in bed
Assisting with dressing and preparation for the day
Continence care
Applying prescribed creams
Repositioning for comfort and skin integrity
Ensuring prescribed medication has been taken
Supporting with oxygen therapy as required
Providing reassurance, companionship and emotional support
Maintaining accurate medication records

About You
The ideal candidate will be:

Caring, patient and compassionate
Reliable and trustworthy
Comfortable working as part of a two-person care team
Respectful of dignity, privacy and independence
Able to follow care plans and medication procedures

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential if you have the right values and a willingness to learn.
