Friendly Personal Assistant/Companion wanted – Bembridge/Ryde

We are looking for a kind, patient and friendly Personal Assistant to support an older gentleman living in Bembridge.

The main role would be driving him to and accompanying him at medical/hospital appointments, as well as occasionally taking him out for a coffee, lunch or a little trip into the community.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Kind, patient and friendly
- Reliable and trustworthy
- A confident driver with their own car
- Comfortable accompanying someone to appointments and waiting with them
- Happy to provide companionship and encouragement when out
- Ideally experienced in supporting older people, although the right person with the right personality is more important

There may occasionally be a need to help with small practical things while out, but housework and laundry are not required.

We would ideally like someone local to Bembridge, Brading, Ryde or surrounding areas, who could become a familiar and trusted person for him.

Hours would be flexible and mainly arranged around appointments, with occasional coffee/lunch outings. We would be looking to pay around £16 per hour, plus an agreed mileage contribution when using your own vehicle for his journeys.

Previous experience supporting an older person would be helpful, but isn't essential. We are more interested in finding someone who is kind, patient, reliable and friendly.
