PA to support with wellbeing and accessing community (217612) LKM

A lovely kind, friendly and family oriented man who has been living with mild learning disabilities since child hood, as such, he is unable to read or write.

Previously been relying on his mother to support him with a range of needs, but she has since experienced illness to need help to support.

The man has anxiety and finds it difficult to leave the home to do his shopping and attend appointments and feels a personal assistant who is able to help him to access his appointments would be great. Support required with cooking due to his poor short term memory, currently using a slow cooker to cook very basic foods. The man states he would like to eat more nutritious meals, so would like a personal assistant to support him to do an online weekly shop for items to be delivered to his own home, but also other food items which the personal assistant can take delivery of so they can batch cook and deliver him healthy meals that he can microwave that he meal planned with his personal assistant.

He is creative and enjoys listening to music and gaming.

- A personal assistant can be flexible in the support they offer throughout the week, as long as it fulfils 6 hours per week with the below requirements.

- PA required for 6 hours each week to support with the following:

Managing home:
1 hour support per week to clean his home.
1 hour support to read important emails, letters, make calls and write letters (for bills, benefit appeals, managing his money as his mum currently does this for him).

Nutritional needs:
1 hour support per week to assist in completing an online weekly shop and creating a meal plan for healthy meals
2 hours per week for a PA to batch cook nutritious meals

Accessing the community:
1 hour support per week to access community services.
