PA Support Respite in Seaview (361440) LKM

Gentleman has a diagnosis of dementia and lives with his wife. They live in a spacious property in Seaview with their two cats.

The need is for 4 hours (£11.95ph) PA Support each MONTH. This is to enable the wife to attend the Carers UK support group at the Riverside Centre on the first Tuesday of each month.
The idea is for a PA to spend time with the R so his wife can have peace of mind and not worry about him. The PA might be required to assist with some household tasks initially - such as ironing (to support ), so the client doesn't feel that he has a 'baby sitter'.
He loves sports - golf, cricket, football and going to his local pub for a pint. He also enjoys drives out.

A PA will work towards building a meaningful relationship with him - hopefully supporting with motivation and purpose to go out and do something meaningful of his choice. A PA will also be able to provide emotional support & reassurance – which he needs when he’s away from his wife.

The aim is for him to hopefully engage and benefit from PA support, with a view to the hours being increased slowly over time, because his wife needs respite on a more frequent regular basis.
