PA required for lady in her 90’s in Freshwater (SM 225468)

PA required in Freshwater for 9 hours per week. 1hr morning call daily and a 30 minute lunch call for 4 days a week. PA’s with experience with working with dementia and dual sensory loss preferred.

Requirements for PA:

A kind, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant is sought for a friendly lady in her 90’s. She needs support each morning with washing, dressing, toileting, breakfast preparation, and medication.

Four lunchtimes per week while her daughter is at work the PA will also prepare lunch, provide company and conversation, and offer toileting support.

Due to her dementia, this lady can become confused, and her visual impairment means close attention must be paid to safety such as trip hazards around the home. She also has a hearing loss, so time needs to be taken to ensure she understands and her voice is heard.

She is unsteady on her feet and can only walk very short distances with her frame, so reassurance and supervision are essential.

The ideal PA will be compassionate, attentive, and confident with personal care, offering consistent, calm support to help this lady feel safe and comfortable.
