PA/Companion for 90year old lady in Binstead

We’re looking for a kind, reliable carer to join a small dedicated team supporting a lovely 90-year-old lady with dementia and dysphagia. She has a fantastic sense of humour, enjoys company, and loves puzzles, colouring, birdwatching, and a good chat.

Available Shifts:
🕠 Tea Time Shifts – Monday to Wednesday, and every other Thursday, 5.30 pm–7.30 pm
🕑 Weekend Afternoons – Saturday & Sunday, 12.30 pm–4.30 pm

What’s Involved:

Helping Cath enjoy her meal (usually ice cream, occasionally soup, fortified with Ensure or Altra Shot drinks)

Making a cup of tea

Helping her change into her nightie (tea time shift only – she manages most things herself but needs help with her jumper)

Assisting with pulling trousers up after the toilet (no personal care at present, but this may change in future due to dementia)

Spending quality time with her – puzzles, Sudoku, colouring, crosswords, birdwatching, and chatting

Rates of Pay:

Weekday afternoons: £13 per hour

Tea time & weekend shifts: £15 per hour

We ask for 100% commitment to the shifts you take on, as she has dementia and doesn’t handle changes in carers well. You would be joining a small, friendly team of carers who work solely with her.
