Support Worker for a Teenage Girl with Profound and multiple learning disabilities

**About Us:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our family and provide personalized care for our teenage daughter, who has profound and multiple learning disabilities. This role is vital in helping her live a fulfilling and joyful life.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with feeding and administering medications as prescribed.
- Support client in engaging in activities she enjoys, both at home and in the community.
- Facilitate communication and interaction using assistive technology and other communication aids.
- Ensure client’s safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
- Participate in light household tasks related to client’s care environment.
-You will receive supervision, support and training co-ordinated by Circle Case Management. There is the option to gain further qualifications in this role too.

**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a caregiving or support role, particularly with individuals with disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in someone's life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Basic knowledge of assistive technology and communication devices (training will be provided).

**Preferred:**
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
-Epilepsy training
- Relevant certifications or training in disability support or caregiving.

Hours per week – 27.25 hours per week. including two weekend shifts (0900-2000) and 5 weekday shifts (1330-2000) per fortnight.

Hourly rate – Weekdays at £12.15/hour and weekends at £14.58/hour
