PA required for lady in Freshwater – 12 hours per week @ £11.95ph – 293748 CD

PA Support needed - 12 hrs per week preferably Monday - Friday, though hours on days to be confirmed / discussed and arranged when meeting. Some flexibility required for appointments.

The client would benefit from either a male of female PA. Preferably someone with more experience with working with persons with Autism & who can provide stable structure to sessions and be able to forward plan with the client.

The client requires budgeting support, transport to medical appointments, assistance with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and meal planning. The client will likely require a weekly shopping trip. This would preferably be Tesco Extra in Ryde. The client may order their own shopping online but where possible would benefit from reminders to avoid multiple shops during each individual week due to impact on budget. The client benefits from activities such as visualising swaps for their food shop. The PA would ideally assist the client with identifying items for a shopping list, sitting down with the client and researching cost of each item and then supporting the client to ensure that they are receiving the best deal to complement their financial situation. This may mean looking at cheaper versions of certain products, researching an alternative that the client is happy with, or it may be that another shop is selling a better deal.
The purpose of this exercise is to help the client develop their own skills for learning how to make their individual budget work for them.

The PA would be required to spend time at the end of each session with the client to plan how the next session will go ahead e.g., what cleaning will need to take place, what meals the client wants to cook, what day of the week the client wants to go out and do shopping, what day and time the client has an appointment. The PA can agree with the client who will carry out specific cleaning tasks session to session to encourage the client’s responsibility taking and motivation as well as independency. The client benefits from small goals such as this.
